Once the seedlings have been transplanted one can always recycle the containers. The trick is to have things well organized so that one doesn't make extra drives to recycles small amounts, or have storage problems either! Re-use uses no extra energy. For example yogurt pots can be used for germinating seeds (just one thing that comes to mind). After that though this is awesome.
